Week 4 Recap: Molecular Madness

This week, our campers bounced around like molecules. Campers explored the magical worlds of bubbling beakers, crazy chemistry, and all kinds of radical reactions in this exciting, chemistry-themed week.

In our Mystery Lab, campers enjoyed many scientific experiments and explored hands-on activities during our Young Naturalist program.

Our special event this week was a "molecule" of fun.

Campers rotated to multiple stations conducting a variety of scientific experiments such as extracting strawberry DNA, exploring reactions with enzymes, extracting iron from food, and unveiling secret messages with black raspberries.

During Art Class, we made "molecular food" (a la the movie "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs") out of Legos.

Campers created a puffy paint masterpiece using the movie "Up" as their inspiration.

Our artists made some interesting designs and had fun putting together some Lego creations.

Our explorers went on a Creek Walk, hunting for crayfish, minnows, and other aquatic life.

Our campers helped construct our bean pole tunnel for our Butterfly Garden.

Look how nice our Butterfly Garden has turned out thanks to our campers working as a team.

We had some fun playing Gaga Ball this week.

The competition was really good.

Campers love playing their camp song / game as it has been growing in popularity throughout camp.

During our Religion and Coaching Character programs this week, we talked about the gifts of the beatitudes we receive from God daily and how we need courage and poise to stay balanced in mind, body, and spirit.

During our Instructional Sports Fitness Program, campers participated in a wide variety of sports and various disciplines of athletics such as cross country, dodgeball, basketball, kickball, whiffle ball and more.

This dynamic opportunity provided multiple experiences that motivated them for future athletic achievements and setting realistic goals to achieve those aspirations.

We are closed during the 4th of July week (July 3-7) and hope you have a safe and blessed holiday!

Please know we still have a few openings in weeks 5, 6, 8, & 9 in our Instructional Sports Fitness program for campers who are 9 or older. If interested or know someone who is, please click on the following link:
