Campers discovered the fun of strategy this week with a level-up mindset. We unleashed our inner creativity as a gaming engineer by designing, building, and playing our own games!

Campers improved their footwork with the obstacle course during the special event.
Our Art Project this week featured early cell animation projects inspired by Super Mario characters!

At Recess, campers enjoyed playing the plants against animals game. The goal was to tag someone on the opposite team out!

Our Special Event, called Operation Game’s Not Over Challenge, was truly epic! Campers embraced the adventure of this chaotic obstacle course quest, where they stepped into a life-size game inspired by Jumanji, Wreck-It-Ralph, Sonic, Tetris, Minecraft, Pac-man and more! Campers worked together to tackle the obstacle course, collect pieces for their 3D rubik’s cube, evade the villains trying to tag them to place them in jail, build their 3D rubik’s cube and more all at the same time! Organized gaming chaos that was a ton of fun!
In the creek this week, campers observed living things, especially minnows and other fish!

In the garden and hydroponics lab, campers used their five sense to find items in a scavenger hunt! For example, many thought the berries were the most colorful, or that the cucumber leaves were the roughest!
On the Instructional Sports side of camp, campers explored various Fielding Games.
This week was dedicated to fielding games where campers gave their best to learn baseball and softball skills, tactics, and situational play. Campers participated in kickball, softball, and baseball games to develop and enhance their overall fielding capabilities. We focused on sports-specific skills like hitting mechanics, correct throwing techniques, and fielding both fly balls and grounders. We covered offensive and defensive scenarios to help campers gain a deeper understanding of the game, fostering mental focus and situational awareness in the field, at bat, and on the bases. Furthermore, campers had chances to refine specific positional skills, such as catching and pitching. Regardless of whether you’re a newcomer to the sport or a seasoned player at the club or travel level, this week at camp provided a fun, dynamic approach to skill-building and situational drills, allowing you to elevate your game beyond the warning track and out of the park!

Several hot days this week called for some cool fun on the Slip 'n Slide!
Donation Drive in Motion. This week, campers participated in a service project for the Cleveland Clinic Cancer Center Kids. Activity bags were assembled to be donated and given out to patients in need. Campers learned the true meaning of serving others and are grateful for the opportunity to brighten someone else's day!
