Campers at Country Life Kids Camp spent Week 8 traveling the globe during our World Wildlife Explorers adventure. Wildlife science, imaginative exploration, and hands‑on discovery came together as campers learned how animals survive and adapt across a variety of biomes and continents. Guiding campers through habitats ranging from deserts to rainforests and introducing fascinating creatures with incredible adaptations. Their stories sparked curiosity, compassion, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world.

⚽ Instructional Sports: Soccer Week

On the sports fields, campers chose between soccer or cooperative games. Soccer players practiced one‑ and two‑touch techniques, sharpening their dribbling, passing, shooting, juggling, and field vision through creative drills and small‑sided games. Those who selected cooperative games enjoyed strategy‑based challenges and teamwork‑focused fun that kept everyone laughing, moving, and working together.

💛 Character Corner: Kindness & Serving Others

In our program areas, campers explored the importance of forgiveness and kindness through Jesus’ parable of the sheep and the goats. They discovered how serving others builds stronger communities and practiced these lessons through playful activities that made the message memorable and meaningful.

🌿 Biome Adventures & STEAM Exploration

Campers continued their global adventure by studying the breathtaking biomes of the arctic, savannah, deciduous forest, desert, and tropical lands, learning how animals adapt to survive in each environment in our Young Naturalist Program. Then Mystery Lab transformed CLKC into an imaginative zoo where campers designed and graphed animal habitats, then built their own electromagnets to experiment with the force of electromagnetism. Creativity flourished as campers used real animal adaptations to design newly evolved creatures and followed bead‑and‑string diagrams to complete detailed projects blending engineering, biology, and art.

🔍 Daily Scavenger Hunts & Outdoor Discoveries with Cooperative Games and Young Naturalist

Campers transformed into wilderness explorers during camp‑wide scavenger hunts during our Cooperative Games and Young Naturalist programs. With clues tucked away across fields and trails, teams worked together to uncover new discoveries and solve nature‑based mysteries. These adventures encouraged teamwork, observation skills, and a sense of wonder as campers explored the beauty of the outdoors.

💛 Celebration Ceremony for CCITs and SITs!

We also celebrated our CCITs (Camp Counselors in Training) and SITs (Staff in Training) during a celebration that culminated their mentor and training program! Thank you for the dedication, leadership, and heart you brought to Country Life Kids Camp this season. Whether you were a high school student stepping into mentorship for the first time or a college student pursuing your future in teaching, coaching, ministry and more...you embraced every challenge with courage and compassion. You invested your time, your talents, and your energy into creating a safe, joyful, and inspiring environment for our campers — and in doing so, you grew your own confidence, character, and leadership skills. Your willingness to learn, serve, and lead made a lasting impact on our camp family. We are deeply proud of you, grateful for you, and honored to celebrate the incredible growth and promise you’ve shown!

💛 The Gift of Giving

To our friends at the Knights of Columbus, Thank you for spending time with our campers and sharing your heartfelt belief in the impact Country Life Kids Camp makes in our community. Your words about our mission being special, unique, and deeply needed resonated with every child and staff member who heard them. Moments like these remind us that the work we do doesn’t just stay within camp boundaries — it ripples outward, touching families, neighborhoods, and futures.

Your generous $1,000 donation is more than a gift; it’s a spark. At camp, we often talk about the butterfly effect — how one small action can create waves of change far beyond what we can see. Your kindness is one of those butterflies. It will help create experiences that inspire confidence, compassion, leadership, and joy in our campers… and those campers will carry that forward into the world in ways none of us can fully imagine.

Thank you for believing in our mission, investing in our kids, and choosing to make a difference. Your partnership strengthens our community and lifts our camp family in meaningful, lasting ways.

🌟 Thanks for Exploring with Us!

Week 8 was filled with discovery, creativity, teamwork, and unforgettable moments. We’re grateful for every camper who brought curiosity and joy to our wildlife adventure. We can’t wait to see everyone back for Fear Factor Week as we continue building confidence, courage, and lifelong memories together at Country Life Kids Camp!
