Campers spent an unforgettable week diving headfirst into the wild and wonderfully weird world of camp bugsācreatures that are creepy, sneaky, gross, and surprisingly heroic in keeping our ecosystem thriving. š¦šæ With bellies in the dirt and magnifiers in hand, campers uncovered tiny mysteries hidden beneath logs, leaves, and stones. Their adventures stretched across forests, ponds, and wetlands, where they discovered how insects quietly power the circle of life for bats, birds, turtles, tadpoles, and countless other critters that call Country Life Kids Camp home.

The excitement soared even higher when the Ohio Department of Natural ResourcesĀ rolled into camp with their mobile archery range! šÆ Campers learned to steady their stance, breathe with intention, and aim with confidenceātransforming nervous first shots into triumphant bullseyes. šš„ Instructional Sports: Basketball Breakthroughs
Meanwhile, our Instructional Sports athletes hit the basketball court with fierce determination. šŖ They sharpened teamwork, grit, and gameāday instincts while diving into advanced offensive and defensive strategiesāmovement without the ball, pickāandāroll execution, pressing, fast breaks, switching defenses, post play, and perimeter play. This week turned fundamentals into firepower!

Campers mastered classic backyard favorites like cornhole, capture the flag, flag football, and bocce ballādodging flying beanbags, sprinting across fields, and laughing through friendly competition. šš½ All the while, they kept an eye out for tiny buggy buddies underfoot!

In Coaching Character, campers explored their unique ācharacter muscles,ā discovering how strengths like patience, courage, and kindness grow through practice. These lessons helped them build confidence, empathy, and resilienceāskills that shine both on and off the field.
