Another action packed week at Country Life Kids Camp has come and gone, but the memories will last forever. After the morning meeting, campers and athletes of the day and week lead the group in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Athlete of the Week and Camper of the week, chosen by their counselors for their eagerness to participate, willingness to help others, and enthusiasm.

Thanks to a generous donation, there were plenty of vegetable plants to fill the raised beds. Campers learned about what plants need to grow, prepared the beds, and planted the plants, which are all growing quite well!

This week, campers literally dove right in to a variety of activities, all centered around the

Earth's most valuable resource: WATER!

On the cooperative games side of camp, campers have spent a lot of time exploring the mysteries of water! Campers discovered amazing varieties of animal life living in our waters, learned to fish, and painted their very own beachy scene.

Campers on the instructional sports side of camp have been learning the essential skills of basketball this week!

For many campers, the special event was the highlight of their week! Campers worked together to solve a real-life game of Clue! In the end, it was Prince Jack who was guilty!

Creek Walks were a lot of fun this week, what's better than cooling off in the creek, on a hot day? Lots of creatures were discovered, crawfish, minnows, snails, and maybe even a snake or two!

Campers learned about the power of water and erosion while building their own river habitat.

As part of a Mystery Lab, students learned basic coding skills by decoding messages, which helped them find the sunken treasurer! Later in the week, they put their knowledge of "if, then" coding statements to use in a computer/programmer game.

One of the most popular games at recess is Gaga Ball, a fast-paced game played in a gaga pit, similar to a smaller, enclosed version of dodgeball!

At the end of another week, as we say goodbye to new friends and look forward to the weeks ahead, our camp mascot, JJ, wishes everyone continued success at camp!
